The stand for Karimoku at the International Furniture Fair Tokyo was designed together with Tokyo based designer Wataru Kumano. Kvadrat Tokyo had a supporting role, supplying upholstery fabrics, curtains and rugs. For the first time, Karimoku New Standard/ KNS was shown together with other brands of Karimoku. The stand aimed to give an idea of the wide range of Karimoku’s activity, while giving room to each of the individual brands and identities. With the use of translucent textiles and minimal individual colour schemes, the stand was loosely separated into different sections, one for each brand.
