Sumida Contemporary at Ginza Loft The department store LOFT in Tokyo’s Ginza district invited Sumida Contemporary to exhibit. We juxtaposed existing products of the Sumida craftsmen with works of their collaborating designers as a teaser for our future products which were in the production pipeline at the time. The strong contrast between the traditional, often handmade craft products and the progressive designs sparked the imagination of the visitors and whetted their appetites for the upcoming collaborative products.
